Why grass stained..? Because in our world THIS happens a lot!
And we love it! We love capturing candid moments in life of kids and dogs. The silly ones, the oops-y ones and the wondrous ones. No posing necessary - both kids and dogs come up with their own antics quite effortlessly! There's never a dull moment and the photos offer great many wonderful surprises.
We are located in the west end of Ottawa, Ontario. We have a few favourite locations for photo shoots, but are also willing to travel. Contact us for more details.

Meet Magda and Dave:
Magda loves being a mom to her 2-legged and 4-legged kiddos. She has a passion for photography, dog sports (agility is her favourite) & being involved in rescue work (currently volunteering for AROO - Aussie Rescue of Ontario). She will never say 'no' to a good book (preferably sci-fi) or a piece of chocolate.

Dave is the best dad to all the gang, and the gang knows it! He has a passion for all things tech, playing (and writing) computer games, and researching and experimenting with every imaginable photo hardware and software out there. And he likes chocolate, too!

Meet the Gang:
2-legged: Isabella - our muse and inspiration, a tireless model, always ready to strike up a pose, make a silly face or do a fancy fashion show for us. She's also very good at forgetting about the camera and just being herself, which is what we love most.
4-legged:
Joey - the black boy, the oldest and wisest of the pack. He's all about love and kisses and eating apples that fall from the neighbour's tree into our yard. He came to us from the Ottawa Humane Society. He'd had a serious spine and leg injury in his "previous life" which stopped him from doing sports, but never stopped him from enjoying life. He used to be a wild and unstoppable creature, but now there is something incredibly calming about him - that older dog's wisdom that I adore. Though, he can still take me for a wild ride at times!
Zuni - the blue-merle aussie girl, the youngest of the pack. Our only non-rescue, she was a gift from a dear friend of mine who breeds amazing aussies. Zuni is my incredible working dog, my little "Miss Perfect" who always wants to get things right. She never does things half way - whatever she does, she does with her fullest heart and conviction. Intensely serious when working and intensely fun when playing, intensely loving and protective of us, she can only elicit the same intense feelings from us.
Cagney - the beautiful red aussie girl, our newest addition to the pack, our "failed foster" for the Aussie Rescue. She came to us as the most fearful dog I've ever seen, so horrified of people and life in general she was permanently in a shut down mode. With time, lots of free running and meeting many kind people she became the funniest, goofiest, snuggliest and overall most hilarious dog we have ever had. Once terrified when meeting people, now she can be way over-the-top ecstatic, which is truly heart melting. Time for manners though!
And, over the Rainbow Bridge - our first dog, Jpeg. Jpeg was also a Humane Society "alumni". She was my best and toughest teacher of the doggy ways, forcing me to quickly develop an avid interest in dog training and behaviourism. Together we discovered and fell in love with dog agility. Jpeg left us at 14yo, after a life well lived. We miss you Jpeg...
